On 20 November 2025, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) welcomed a delegation from ASELSAN for an engagement and courtesy visit aimed at strengthening cooperation and enhancing international partnerships. The delegation was led by Mr. Ahmet Akyol, President & Chief Executive Officer, together with Regional Director, Mr. Ali Kuran; Country Director, Mr. Mehmet Kaya and Senior Manager Business Development, Cdr. (R) Asmayatim.
The session provided an opportunity for both organisations to exchange insights, discuss areas of mutual interest and explore avenues for deeper collaboration within the maritime and defence ecosystem. Representing LUNAS were Chief Executive Officer, Ir. Azhar Jumaat, Chief Financial Officer, Mohamad Mustafa and Head of Corporate Communication, Suhana Albakri Abu Bakar.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment of LUNAS and ASELSAN to foster strategic partnerships and build a stronger global presence in support of advancing Malaysia’s maritime and defence capabilities.
