On 10 September 2026, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) welcomed a delegation from the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), led by Encik Wan Mohd Shahrulnizam Wan Mohd Najuri, Deputy Chief Statistician (Economy), as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and deepen our understanding of the implementation of the Economic Census 2026.

The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives, enhance understanding of the Economic Census 2026 and gain further insights into LUNAS and Malaysia’s maritime and shipbuilding industry.

Through stronger industry–government collaboration, Malaysia’s maritime industry can be further strengthened, along with its contribution to nation-building.
