This week Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) witnessed another milestone, when LUNAS Shiprepair Sdn. Bhd. successfully completed the REFIT program and officially handed over KD LEDANG to the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) in a handover ceremony on 4th July 2025.

The ceremony was graced by First Admiral Ts. Shaiful Bahri Baharuddin, RMN Commander of Western Logistics; Lieutenant Commander Mohamad Sidiq Mohamad Arif TLDM, Commanding Officer of KD LEDANG; Cdr. (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari, LUNAS Chief Operation Officer and Tuan Syed Ahyattuddin Shid Idris, Head of LUNAS Shiprepair Sdn. Bhd.

This achievement stands as a testament to LUNAS’s commitment to supporting the operational readiness of the RMN. LUNAS looks forward to seeing KD LEDANG continue to serve reliably and contribute effectively in safeguarding Malaysia’s maritime domain and strengthening national maritime defense, as LUNAS remains dedicated to Defining Excellence.
