Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) on July 29, 2024 was honored to welcome representatives from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) led by Mrs. Habibah Enok, Director of Oil and Gas, Marine and Logistic Services Division accompanied by Mr. Dyrul Syahrytz Mohd Daud, Director of MIDA Perak for an insightful visit to our facilities. The delegation was welcomed by Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LUNAS, Commander (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari.

The primary objective of this visit was to provide MIDA with a comprehensive overview of our state-of-the-art yard facilities and the strategic infrastructure developments currently underway. This exploration is crucial as it aligns with our mission to enhance our operational capacity and technological capabilities, further cementing our position as a leader in the maritime industry.

During the visit, we engaged in fruitful discussions on the Investment of Tax Allowance (ITA) incentives, which are pivotal in driving significant investment into our infrastructure projects. These incentives not only facilitate our growth but also underscore the government’s commitment to fostering a robust and resilient maritime sector in Malaysia.
