Strengthening Security Awareness & Regulatory Compliance At LUNAS
Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) successfully conducted the Latihan Kesedaran Keselamatan & Pematuhan on 11–12 February 2026, organised by the Risk, Integrity & Compliance Department, in collaboration with the Chief Government Security Office (CGSO).
The programme strengthened organisational awareness and compliance with key security legislations, namely the Protected Areas and Protected Places Act 1959 (Act 298) and the Official Secrets Act 1972 (Act 88), covering legal obligations, security controls within gazetted areas, management of official secrets and ICT security requirements in handling classified information.
Operating within a defence and high-security environment, such initiatives remain critical in safeguarding national interests and reinforcing a strong culture of compliance across LUNAS.
LUNAS extends its appreciation to CGSO and all participants for their active engagement throughout the training.
