
On August 7, 2024, the Human Capital Management & Admin Department of Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) organized a Briefing on the Management of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. The session featured Ms. Joanna Inbarani Thawamany from the Perak Labour Department, who provided valuable insights on the latest amendments to the Employment Act 1955 (Amendment 2022), focusing on employers’ obligations regarding sexual harassment. The briefing aimed to increase awareness among employees about the serious implications of sexual harassment and to clarify the procedures for reporting and addressing such incidents.
The session took place from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Auditorium Building 102, and it was attended by 100 employees from various departments. The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, reflecting the participants’ strong engagement and interest in the topic.
