LUNAS Strengthens Industry-Academia Collaboration with UniKL MIMET
On 9 March 2026, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) convened an engagement session with Ts. Dr. Zaimi Zainal Mukhtar, Dean and Head of Campus of Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), reinforcing LUNAS’s commitment to strengthening industry–academia collaboration in advancing Malaysia’s shipbuilding and ship repair capabilities.
The session, led by Suhana Albakri Abu Bakar, LUNAS Head of Corporate Communications, focused on key areas of collaboration including talent development, industry readiness and innovation, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0), reflecting LUNAS’s broader efforts to strengthen its industry positioning and brand equity through strategic partnerships.
