Once again, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) was given a seat to contribute to Malaysia’s maritime industry through our active participation in the Association of Marine Industries of Malaysia (AMIM), where our Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Puan Ilme Onn, has been re-elected as an Executive Committee Member in Shipbuilding/Ship Repair for the 2026–2028 term.

Making the achievement even more significant, Puan Ilme is the only woman serving on the AMIM Executive Committee, marking a notable milestone for women’s leadership and representation in Malaysia’s maritime industry.

She was officially introduced as part of the new Executive Committee at the AMIM Annual Dinner 2026, held at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 5 September 2026.
