Lumut Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (LUNAS) and Badan Kebajikan Islam LUNAS (BAKIN) held a Korban and Akikah Program in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration on 12 Zulhijjah 1445H, or 19 June 2024, at the Surau Diri Jumaat Nurul Iman compound.

The Korban and Akikah Program was carried out in a gotong-royong fashion by the organizing committee, consisting of BAKIN members and LUNAS employees. A total of 28 participants took part in the korban ritual this year, involving 4 cows, with an additional cow specifically allocated for aqiqah. LUNAS also donated 2 cows to be used for a lunch feast for all attending LUNAS employees.

The program commenced at 7:30 in the morning and concluded around 1:00 in the afternoon, following the completion of slaughtering, skinning, and distribution of the korban and aqiqah meat to participants, volunteers, and employees.
