Deputy Chief of Navy Visit To LUNAS

On 20th February 2025, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) received a working visit from Deputy Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Dato’ Ts. Shamsuddin Hj Ludin, along with a delegation from the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN).

The delegation was welcomed by LUNAS Chief Operation Officer (COO), Commander (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari; First Admiral Ir. Ts. Franklin Jayasekhar Joseph, Director General of the RMN LCS Project; and Captain Rosnizam Che Puteh, Director of LCS Project at LUNAS.

The visit comprised an extensive yard tour, including a comprehensive briefing on LUNAS, the latest progress of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) project, and the Shore Integration Facility (SIF)—a cutting-edge platform designed to enhance naval system integration and operational readiness. The tour provided insights into the meticulous construction of the LCS and the integration processes of the SIF taking place at LUNAS.

LUNAS remains committed to advancing Malaysia’s naval industry by integrating innovative solutions and upholding the highest standards in shipbuilding. The visit served as a valuable platform to strengthen collaboration with RMN, reflecting a shared dedication to defining excellence in maritime defense.
