Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the community by donating wheelchairs to the Persatuan Veteran ATM (PVATM). This meaningful contribution aims to enhance the mobility and quality of life for veterans who have served the nation and now find themselves in need.

LUNAS was invited to the closing ceremony of 36th State Delegates Conference of PVATM Perak held at Royal Perak Golf Club, Ipoh on August 10, 2024 to receive a token of appreciation for our contribution of wheelchairs to the organization previously in April 2024. Dato’ Zolkafly Haron, Chairman of the Perak State Government Committee on Rural Development, Plantations, Agriculture, and Food Industries represented YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, the Menteri Besar of Perak, in officiating the event while Cdr. (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LUNAS received the token presented by Mr Mazlan Umar, Deputy President of PVATM Perak.

The donation, part of LUNAS’s ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives, underscores the company’s dedication to honoring and supporting Malaysia’s military veterans while showcasing our commitment to giving back to the community. By providing these essential mobility aids, LUNAS hopes to alleviate some of the challenges faced by PVATM members, ensuring that the needs of our nation’s veterans are met with the care and dignity they deserve.
