
Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS), Malaysia’s leading maritime defence builder, made a presence at the 16th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul, reaffirming its role as a key player on the global stage.
Attending not only to show support to Malaysia’s growing naval capability but also to stand shoulder to shoulder with trusted business partners ASELSAN, HAVELSAN and STM, the delegation reflected the enduring bond between Malaysia and Türkiye. This partnership, built on decades of trust and collaboration, continues to thrive with both nations moving hand in hand toward shared innovation, maritime strength, and strategic excellence.
Led by LUNAS Board of Director Dato’ Andri Aidham Dato’ Ahmad Badri, CEO Ir. Azhar Jumaat and Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development Ir. Muhammad Hanif Muhammad, LUNAS engaged in impactful, future-focused discussions with Türkiye’s top defence and shipbuilding companies including STM, HAVELSAN, ASELSAN, Yonca Shipyard and Desan Shipyard. These exchanges went far beyond formalities. Held at the Istanbul Expo Center from 22 to 27 July 2025 and hosted by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, this prestigious event drew over 121,000 visitors from 114 nations and 1,491 exhibitors across the land, maritime, aviation, space, security, logistics and defence technology sectors.
