
Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) marked another proud milestone with the official handover of KM LANGKAWI to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) on 19th June 2025, following the successful completion of her REFIT program.
The ceremony was officiated by First Admiral (M) Haji Mazlan Mat Rejab, Maritime Director of Pahang, who represented MMEA during the handover. Also present were LUNAS Chief Operation Officer, Cdr (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari; Maritime Director of Perak, Captain (M) Mohamad Shukri Khotob, and Commanding Officer of KM LANGKAWI, Commander (M) Eizanizam Muhammad Eng.
This event reflects LUNAS’s commitment to Defining Excellence in maritime engineering by extending the operational lifespan of vital national assets through quality-driven refit solutions. The successful completion of KM LANGKAWI’s refit marks another step in LUNAS’s ongoing efforts to support Malaysia’s maritime readiness.
