Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) successfully conducted the Downslip Safety Checklist Signing Session for LCS 2 on 8th May 2025, a critical milestone in confirming the vessel’s readiness for its upcoming launch. This session plays a vital role in verifying the safety, structural integrity and preparedness of LCS 2 before it is transferred to water, ensuring every element complies with the highest safety standards.

Witnessed by LUNAS CEO, Ir. Azhar Jumaat, the session brought together key stakeholders, including LUNAS LCS Project Director, Capt. (Rtd) Rosnizam Che Puteh; RMN Head of the Construction Engineering Section (KSKP), Capt. Ir. Malik Hj Sulaiman; Naval Group’s (NG) LCS Programme Director, Mr. Denis Garnier and Bureau Veritas (BV) representative Mr. Fazmizal Ishak.

This session underscored the importance of collaboration and accountability in naval shipbuilding, where safety, precision and teamwork continue to shape the foundation of Defining Excellence at LUNAS.
