Physical Handover Ceremony of FCB 90 by LUNAS Langkawi Shipyard

On 8 July 2025, the Physical Handover (PHO) ceremony for the Fast Combat Boat (FCB) 90 HEX301 was successfully held at the LUNAS LANGKAWI SHIPYARD, a subsidiary of LUNAS. The event marked another significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to deliver high-performance maritime assets to the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN).

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests Commander Naval Area 3, Rear Admiral Ahmad Shafirudin bin Abu Bakar and Commander of Western Naval Logistics, First Admiral Ts. Shaiful Bahri bin Baharuddin. Representing LUNAS was Chief Executive Officer, Ir. Azhar Jumaat, and Head of LUNAS Langkawi Shipyard, Cik Siti Salwa Abu Bakar, along with members of the management team.

The FCB 90 HEX301 was officially accepted by the RMN on 14 May 2025, followed by documentation and final preparations leading up to the physical handover event.

This boat stands as a testament to LUNAS’s commitment to supporting national maritime readiness through the delivery of combat boats built to the highest standards tailored to meet the tactical and operational needs of the Navy.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of the entire LUNAS LANGKAWI workforce, who contributed across every phase of the project, from design to final delivery.

We extend our sincere appreciation to LUNAS and all parties involved for their collaboration, support, and trust. May this vessel serve its mission with strength, resilience, and honour.
