National Resilience College Visit to LUNAS

As a key contributor to Malaysia’s maritime capabilities and national progress, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) received an industry visit from the National Resilience College on 23 September 2025. The visit provided an opportunity for knowledge sharing, engagement with industry leaders and a closer look at LUNAS’s operations and capabilities.
At LUNAS, we place strong emphasis on People First and Nation Building by investing in local skills, nurturing leadership, and developing talents that strengthen Malaysia’s maritime capabilities. In line with the MADANI framework, we remain committed to empowering our people, contributing to national resilience, and advancing maritime strength.
The delegation led by Major General Abdul Karim Ahmad, Commandant of the National Resilience College, was warmly welcomed by LUNAS Chief Executive Officer Ir. Azhar Jumaat.
The visit included a corporate briefing by Ir. Muhammad Hanif Muhammad, Deputy Project Director for the LCS Programme, on LUNAS’s capabilities, values and milestones as well as an update on the LCS programme. The visit continued with a detailed tour of the shipyard and the Combat System Centric (CSC) room which provided the delegation with a firsthand view of our operations.
This visit reflects our dedication to Defining Excellence through our people and ensuring local talents remain at the heart of nation building and the future of Malaysia’s maritime industry.
