In conjunction with the Dasar Industri Pertahanan Negara (DIPN) launch event, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) took part in the exhibition showcases held at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) on 21 January 2026. DIPN is Malaysia’s national defense industry policy, aimed at strengthening local defense capabilities, promoting self-reliance and fostering innovation and talent development within the country’s defense sector.
As Malaysia’s premier naval and commercial shipbuilding and ship repair company, LUNAS showcased its capabilities, highlighting our role in supporting the growth of Malaysia’s local defense industry and advancing national maritime capabilities.
The event was officiated by YAB Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim alongside government and industry leaders, underscoring the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors in building a resilient and competitive defense ecosystem.
