
Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) was honored to receive a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Assistant Chief of Staff for Planning, Development and Strategy, Rear Admiral Ahmad Shafirudin Abu Bakar on 19th August 2025.
He was warmly welcomed by the LUNAS LCS Project Team led by Captain (R) Rosnizam Che Puteh, Senior Project Director of the RMN LCS Project Team, First Admiral Ir. Franklin Jeyasekhar Joseph, together with LUNAS management.
During the session, Rear Admiral Ahmad Shafirudin received comprehensive progress updates on the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) programme. He later joined a thorough tour of the vessel, allowing him to inspect firsthand the development milestones achieved, while gaining deeper insight into the determination and professionalism behind delivering the nation’s strategic naval asset.
The visit underscored LUNAS’s crucial role in safeguarding national sovereignty, while reinforcing our continuous efforts in defining excellence through integrity, progress, and collaboration.
